Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) (low cost) – Purchase your ticket online for $22 admission or $25 at the ticket counter. MoPOP is dedicated to exploring creativity and innovation in American popular music, from rock ‘n’ roll, to jazz, soul, gospel, country, blues, hip-hop, punk and other genres.
How long does the museum of pop culture take?
In general, you can expect to spend around 1.5 to 3 hours at the museum. If you’re a fan of all things pop culture – sci-fi, music, and more — you can easily spend five hours here.
Who owns the MoPOP?
Paul Allen
It was founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2000 as the Experience Music Project. Since then MoPOP has organized dozens of exhibits, 17 of which have toured across the U.S. and internationally….Museum of Pop Culture.

Why does MoPOP look like that?
A fusion of textures and myriad colors, MoPOP’s exterior conveys all the energy and fluidity of music. Their individual finishes respond to different light conditions and appear to change when viewed from different angles, reminding audiences that music and culture is constantly evolving.
What is the history of the Science Fiction Hall of Fame?
Founded in 1996, the Hall of Fame was relocated from the Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction at the University of Kansas to its permanent home at MoPOP in 2004.
Is Pacific Science Center open to the public?
Pacific Science Center’s onsite operations remain limited. We are not open to the public for general admission at this time. However, we are continuing to serve the community as we undergo our renewal.
